Tickets for the Event
Prix du Nord is an dance competition for young dance talents across Northern Europe. The event will take place at the historical Kingdom Hall in Kronhuset in Gothenburg. Tickets will be available for both the semifinals and the grand finale.
Tickets is limited and the events has the principle of first come, first served. When an event is sold out PDN have no possiblities to make more availability due to rules of the theater.
Semifinal Juniors: Friday March 17, 09.50-12.30
Dance students between the ages of 14 and 16 will compete in the Junior Division.
The dancers will perform their two solos for the jury on stage with costume, makeup and standard stage lighting. Juniors will either present one classical variation and one contemporary solo or two classical variations. There will be one intermissions during the event.
Semifinal Seniors: Friday March 17, 15.00-18.40
Dance students between the ages of 17 and 19 will compete in the Senior Division.
The dancers will perform their two solos for the jury on stage with costume, makeup and stage lighting. Senior will present one classical variation and one contemporary solo. There will be one intermissions during the event.
Grand Finale First Run: Saturday March 18, 13.00-15.30
The 15 finalists will perform their two solos in the General Rehearsal for the international jury.
The dancers will perform their two solos for the jury on stage with costume, makeup and stage lighting. There will be one intermissions during the event.
Grand Finale Second Run & Award Ceremony, Juniors: Saturday March 18, 17.00-20.30
The 15 finalists will perform their two solos for the jury on stage with costume, makeup and stage lighting.
After the Grand Finale Second Run the points of the jury will be summarized and the winners will be presented at an Award Ceremony. There will be two intermissions during the event.

Young dance talents from all over Northern Europe meet in a dance competition for ballet and contemporary dance in Gothenburg.
The following schools are participating in the competition: Svenska Balettskolan / Swedish National Ballet School, Norwegian National Ballet School, Finnish National Ballet School, Tivoli Ballet School Denmark, National Ballet School of Iceland, Tallin Ballet School, Latvia National Ballet School and National MK Curlionis School of Arts, Helsinki Dance Institute, Keski Pohjanmaan Konservatori, Espoo Danceinstitut, Ida Dance School, Estonia, Klassiski Listdansskolinn Iceland, Den Norske Ballettskole og Akademi, Royal Swedish Ballet School, Alhanko Ballet School / BASE23 and the Oslo National Academy of the Arts.

With the competition, we want to motivate young talented dancers in Sweden and northern Europe and contribute to their dance education. In it’s new form, the competition remains an important platform for the next generation of dancers to be able to meet and share experiences together. The event is a unique opportunity for all dance lovers to see and experience a wide range of classical ballet and modern dance!
