Eligibility to Compete
Prix du Nord (PDN) is a dance competition for dance students within Northern Europe. The competitor must be a student at a pre-professional ballet school in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania to participate.
Age divisions
The Prix du Nord has two age divisions:
- Juniors age 14 – 16
- Seniors age 17 – 19
Junior division
Dance students between the ages of 14 and 16 will compete in the Junior Division. The competitor must become a minimum of 14 years old and a maximum of 16 years old the year of participating, to qualify for the Junior Division.
Senior division
Dance students between the ages of 17 and 19 will compete in the Senior Division. The competitor must become a minimum of 17 years old and a maximum of 19 years old the year of participating, to qualify for the Senior Division.
Candidates can hold a professional contract but are not allowed to have started professional employment at the time of the competition. Apprentice positions are allowed.
